Guy Robertson
Guys Beziehung zu den Pferden begann schon in einem frühen Alter, als er an seinem 6. Geburtstag das Glück hatte, sein erstes Pony zu bekommen. Ein sehr dickes Welsh A Pony names Topic.
Guy trat dem Pony-Club bei und versuchte sich in verschiedenen Disziplin, darunter Springen und Vielseitigkeit, als er von Topic auf ein größeres Pony wechselte. 1996 kam Guy dann zum Polo-Sport.
Polocross kombinierte seine zwei Leidenschaften, den Sport und die Pferde, und wurde schnell zu einer Besessenheit. Jedes Wochenende im Sommer, war Guy unterwegs und fuhr zu Turnieren im ganzen Land. Von 2002 bis 2011 spielte Guy in der Nationalmannschaft des Vereinigten Königreiches, wovon er 3 Jahre lang Kapitän war. Er spielte in Spielen gegen Simbabwe, Südarfika, USA, Neuseeland, Irland, Australien und Holland.
Nachdem er zahlreiche national und internationale Titel gewonnen hatte, darunter eine Vize-Weltcup-Medaille 2007, zog sich Guy zurück, um sich auf seine Reitkunst zu konzentrieren und verbrachte viel Zeit damit, in ganz Großbritannien, Europa und den USA Reitlehrgänge und Clinics zu veranstalten.
In der der Nähe von Doncaster in Großbritannien betreibt Guy zusammen mit seiner Frau Victoria und seiner Tochter Summer das Ausbildungszentrum Guy Robertson Horsemanship. Sie bieten Trainingsdienstleistungen für Pferde und Reiter sowie Natural Horsemanship Clinics an.
Im Jahr 2015 nahm Guy an der Considering the Horse Colt Starting Challenge in Karpacz, Polen teil und gewann diese.
2019 nahm er mit seiner Mustangstute Magic an der Trainer Challenge des MUSTANG MAKEOVER teil.
Guys relationship with horses began from an early age when, on his 6th birthday, he was lucky enough to get his first pony a, very fat, Welsh Section A called Topic.
Guy joined the pony club and tried a number of disciplines including show jumping and eventing as he progressed from 'Topic' to larger ponies. In 1996 Guy was introduced to the sport of Polocrosse.
Polocrosse married his two major passions, sport and horses, and I quickly became and obsession with every weekend during the summer spent on the road going to tournaments all over the country. Guy represented the UK between 2002 and 2011, of which the last 3 years were spent as captain, in test matches against Zimbabwe South Africa, USA, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia and Holland,
Having won numerous national and international titles, including a runner up medal at the 2007 polocrosse world cup, Guy retires to concentrate on his horsemanship and spends all his time running horsemanship clinics and demos all over the UK as well as Europe and the USA.
In 2015 guy took part and won the Considering the Horse colt stating challenge in Karpacz, Poland and in 2019 took part in the Mustang Makeover in Aachen, Germany.
